What we don't guarantee
DoctorNoted prepares your documentation packet. We do not determine medical necessity (your physician does), and we do not approve reimbursement (your FSA/HSA administrator does). Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your administrator's review of your submitted documentation, your specific plan terms, and current IRS regulations. Your physician retains full clinical discretion to edit or decline to sign the draft we prepare.
Pricing FAQ
Why a one-time fee instead of subscription?
Most patients only need the documentation once — letters are valid for 12 months and reimbursement happens through your existing FSA/HSA admin. We'll add an optional renewal subscription for repeat users.
Can I pay with my HSA/FSA debit card?
Some HSA/FSA admins allow direct payment for documentation services like ours; others reimburse after the fact. Check your specific plan. Either way, the tax savings on the reimbursable expenses you'll cover with your letter typically dwarf our fee 20–50x.
What's the difference between Basic and Premium?
Basic gives you a compliance-reviewed packet within 1 hour, ready for your doctor to sign. Premium adds reimbursement guidance specific to your HSA/FSA admin (HealthEquity, Optum, Lively, etc.), denial appeal support if your claim is questioned, and a free renewal credit at the 1-year mark.
Is the Pro tier worth it?
Pro makes sense if (a) you want your letter prepared and signed within 24 hours, (b) you have multiple qualifying conditions to document, or (c) you anticipate scrutiny from your admin and want audit support included.
